Healthy Oceans. Healthy Communities.

Clear the Coast

Marine debris, including plastic waste, lost fishing gear and derelict vessels, pollutes our coastal areas and threatens many marine species. Thanks to the reports from volunteers and coastal citizens, Living Oceans is now mapping marine debris found on and around northern Vancouver Island shorelines to show where marine waste accumulates and where community clean-up efforts are making a difference.

Tell us what you found so we can assess the impacts on our beaches and estuaries.
