It was a beautiful day and the turnout was good for the Malcolm Island shoreline cleanup on September 20th. |

Living Oceans Society staff and families joined people from around Sointula to pick up garbage and debris from Beachcombers beach. |

Volunteers scoured the beach picking up an assortment of discarded plastic, styrofoam, rope, cans and bottles. A fair quantity of metal was also picked up and will be recycled. |

Dionne Middleton donated the use of his truck to haul away the garbage collected by volunteers. Thanks all the volunteers and to the Malcolm Island Lions Club and Rick Shaw who joined in with LOS to cover the cost of hauling the garbage to the dumpster. |
